An existing home was given new life for a growing family in Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Atlanta. The front façade gives the home a proud but humble street presence. The massing gives the family the space they desired, but keeps the home in scale with the existing neighborhood. The rounded door provides a cozy entry into an symmetrical foyer. Elliptical arches open to the study, dining room and living area. The use of beautiful cabinetry makes the quaint living spaces most usable. The open kitchen and living room give a cozy yet spacious family area and again utilizes well-appointed cabinets. An example of in-town living where quaint well design spaces will always live better than large poorly designed spaces.
